Abstract
913,460. Saw-tooth circuits. MURPHY RADIO Ltd. Nov. 6, 1959 [Nov. 6, 1958], No. 35681/58. Class 40 (6). In a line deflection circuit for a television receiver, the S-wave component required for a wide-angle cathode-ray tube is provided by a capacitor 5 in series with the deflection coils 2, " ringing " oscillation being minimized by a resistor 7 in series with an inductive shunt 6. The decrement of circuit 5, 6, 7 should be the same as that of the deflection coil circuit. The amplitude and linearity may respectively be adjusted by movement of the core on transformer 4 and inductor 3. Specification 847,023 is referred to.
