Abstract

913,429. Storage bunkers in conveyer systems. COWLISHAW, WALKER & CO. Ltd., and SEED, E. C. Oct. 14, 1959, No. 34873/59. Class 78 (4). In a mine, coal is delivered by conveyer 13 so as to fall as a heap on to bunker conveyer 15 (normally not driven) and slides thence on to conveyer 14 which discharges it to tubs. In case of stoppage of conveyer 14 the surplus coal is stored by driving the bunker conveyer 15 to the right, as shown, the surplus later being discharged on to conveyer 14 by driving the bunker conveyer 15 to the left. Bunker conveyer 15 consists of twin side-by-side endlesschain scraper conveyers.
