Abstract

1,026,286. Rotary conveyers. CARL SCHENCK MASCHINENFABRIK. Feb. 5, 1964, No. 4870/64. Heading B8A. Coal is fed by endless conveyers 1 and 1a to hopper 2 (Fig. 1, not shown) whence the coal is distributed to coal pulverizers 7 feeding furnaces, which pulverizers are arranged in a circle. Excess fuel is discharged through shoot 24 and conveyed away on conveyers 26 and 27. The distribution of coal to the shoots 8 (Fig. 2) which feed pulverizers 7 is effected by two rotary annular conveyers 3a and 3b which are superposed one above the other and are driven in opposite directions on wheels 11 running on rails 10 by external belts 16a and 16b respectively. The annular conveyers carry respectively pusher plates 13a and 13b which push the coal along fixed annular surfaces 4a and 4b. Surfaces 4a and 4b are formed with apertures one above the other at appropriate places so that the pusher plates push the fuel along the said annular plates and deliver the fuel through the superposed apertures into the shoots 8 of the pulverizers. Likewise, superposed apertures 23 formed respectively in the annular plates 4a and 4b deliver the excess fuel via shoot 24 to the discharge conveyers.
