Abstract

912,908. Chain wheels. PARSONS CHAIN CO. Ltd. Feb. 17, 1961, No. 6042/61. Class 80 (1). A sprocket wheel comprises a hub 1 and a flange 2 to which teeth elements 3 are welded, each tooth having side cheeks 7 on the inside of which recesses 8 are formed to accommodate driving links 9. The recesses 8 have inclined faces 5 and radiused surfaces 6. Slots 10 are formed in the bases of the teeth 3 and these are engaged with the flange 2 and welded thereto. Reinforcing ribs 12 are welded to each side of the flange 2.
