1329027 Rope and chain wheels SIMPSONLAWRENCE Ltd 29 Nov 1971 [4 Dec 1970] 57695/70 Heading F2Q A rope and chain wheel 1 comprises a hub 2 having a wall 3, 4 extending radially outwardly from each end, and a central converging groove 5 provided with inwardly projecting portions 7 (which may be in facing pairs or staggered) to wedgingly engage a rope, the walls 3, 4 having spaced opposed teeth 9 to engage the links of a chain. The teeth 9 may have triangular faces 10 normal to the wheel axis.
