Abstract

A drive for a machine such as a typewriter comprises a toothed belt 4 and sprocket wheels 1, 5 each having a single lateral rim disc 9, 10 which is chamfered where it faces the belt 4. In a modification, shown in Fig. 3, a chamfered rim disc is interrupted between the teeth.
