[Also in Group XXII] A radiator comprises a plate having longitudinal rib-like corrugations 3 welded to a flat or profiled plate folded from or welded to a plate section 2 to form one side and two flat end surfaces of the radiator, the extreme rib-like corrugations 1 being formed by welding the free edges of the flat end surface and a half rib, characterized in that the ridge of the half rib is reprofiled to produce a round varying cross-section so that its edge is approximately rectilinear and parallel to the surface to which it is to be welded. In a first modification the top portion of the end ridge is formed outwards, Fig. 8, and in a second modification, inwards and outwards, Fig. 12.
