Abstract

911,679. Dry shavers. EVER-READY RAZOR PRODUCTS Ltd. March 7, 1961 [March 18, 1960], No. 9646/60. Class 131. A dry shaver comprises an arched flexible shear plate 24 attached at two opposite edges to the casing, the curved end edges being free to flex relatively to the casing and being each supportingly engaged on its inner, concave surface, by a resiliently flexible support member 25. The shear plate is attached by spring clips 23 to the sides 22 of a head frame 20 which is latched at 35, 36 to the casing 12 and encloses an inner cutter 11 having parallel, spaced and preferably corrugated blades. Each support member consists of semi-annular parts 26, 27 joined by a radial flange 28 which is clamped between end face 30 of an end member 29 of the head frame and a retaining plate 31 which has a stud 32 received in a socket 33 in the end member. The inner cutter may be driven by the means disclosed in Specification 788,304.
