Abstract

909,339. Wrapping-machines. ROSE BROS. (GAINSBOROUGH) Ltd. May 23, 1961 [March 3, 1960], No. 7515/60. Class 94(1). In a wrapping machine of the kind in which spaced articles 11 or batches of articles are fed with a web 16 between opposed travelling belts 17 to means for folding the web to tubular form about the articles, a finger 34 is moved into and out of the path of the articles between the belts to adjust the spacing of misplaced articles. The folding is carried out by slotted plates and the longitudinal seam formed by rollers 24, 27 and a stationary sealer 26. This seam is folded down and the transverse seams are then formed and severed by rotary means 29.
