Abstract

1320845 Folding moving wrappers KUSTNER FRERES & CIE SA 19 May 1971 [16 July 1970] 15806/71 Heading B8C In a wrapping machine, the ends of tubular wrappers projecting beyond the ends of wrapped articles 1 are folded on to those ends, whilst the wrapped articles are conveyed in a direction 9 at a uniform speed, by folding plates 10, 11 interconnected by rods 12 connected to levers 13, 14 which are rotated at a variable speed so that the plates 10, 11 travel with the articles 1 whilst travelling at right angles thereto to effect folding. Alternatively, Fig. 6, folding plates 32, 33 are interconnected by rods 31 connected to levers 29, 30 via spindles 36, 37 end links 35, the levers 29, 30 being rotated at a constant speed and the spindles 36, 37 following closed non-circular grooves 38.
