Abstract
907,671. Knitting-machines. STEINHOF, K., [trading as STEINHOF APPARATEFAB. RIK, KARL]. March 2, 1959 [March 7, 1958], No. 7119/59. Class 74 (2). As the cam lock of a flat bed machine (particularly a hand-operated machine) is reciprocated, a rubber-tyred roller 26 borne in a casing 1 carried by the lock, rolls to and fro on a track 25 on the needle bed, between limits imposed by abutments 6 in the casing, and, at each traverse, passes under the peak 17 of a cam 14 resting on steps 12 in the casing and thus lifts the cam to cause it to actuate the plunger 22 of a course counter 21. The roller is provided with stub axles 7 which run along supporting shoulders 5 in the casing. Sinkers 34 are rocked in their slots 33 by a cam 37 carried on the lock casing and acting on their inner ends 36.
