A stator winding structure for a flat annular air-gap type of electrical rotating machine comprises a disc-shaped insulating support on one face of which a short-circuited flat winding 213 is printed in each space between adjacent half sections of a winding which is printed on both faces and whose conductors 13 . . . 15 on the two faces are connected together in sections to form poles. The winding 213 may be on either face and as shown for a shaded pole machine is rectangular and displaced by 30 degrees electrical from the pole axis. Specifications 874,394 and 888,515 are referred to.
