904,277. Wall and like brackets. PARNELL & SONS Ltd. Jan. 6, 1960 [Jan. 7, 1959], No. 566/59. Class 52 (5). A supporting structure for shelving includes an upright member 4 of forwardly opening channel section, the two side walls 4c of which are formed with inwardly projecting shoulders 4d (Fig. 3) which define a longitudinally extending gap 6b, at least one panel supporting element 11 of channel section adapted to embrace the rear and side walls of the member 4 and provided with outwardly projecting ends 11b for the support of the rear faces of a pair of panels 16, at least one shelf bracket 5 having a rearwardly opening channel section face 6 to embrace the member 4 and parts 6d laterally extending beyond the overall width of the member 4 so as to be capable of clamping the panels 16 against the elements 11, and turnbutton clamping means 10 mounted on the bracket 5 and adapted for insertion through the gap 6b for clamping engagement with rearwardly facing surfaces of the shoulders 4d. A screw shank 7b passes through an arcuate slot 6a in the face 6 of the bracket and has a screw engagement with a tapped aperture in the turnbutton 10. The turn-button is mounted on a pivot pin 9 which is part of a pivot plate 8 mounted on the bracket 5, the screw shank 7b passing loosely through an arcuate slot 8a in the plate 8.
