[Also in Group XXXII] A heat-insulated motor vehicle body, in which CO 2 may be distributed about the interior of the body (see also Group XXXII), and Figs. 1 and 2, has an opening 3 which may be closed by a hinged flap 4, a sector-shaped canopy 9 having a ceiling and side walls 10 hinged at 8, and a flap 11 which is upwardly spring-biased to close the bottom of the canopy 9 when the body is not being unloaded. A user wishing to enter the body or chamber first hinges down the flap 4 to the Fig. 2 position and then sits upon it so that he may depress the flap 11 with his feet, at the same time pulling the canopy over his head until its rim engages with the flap 4. Goods loaded through flaps 15 into insulated holders 14 may be removed from outside the body by opening doors 13, and a pullout holder 16 having a door 19 may be loaded through openings 17 and 20. In a modification, Figs. 4-7 (not shown), the insulated side holders may be extended upwardly to define a central aisle and the flap 4 is omitted, the canopy 9 merely engaging either the flap 11 as before or a base member forming part of an extension of the body. Side loading flaps may be provided in the external and internal body walls. In a further modification, Figs. 8 and 9 (not shown), internal loading flaps giving access to the insulated holders are linked to a movable barrier which prevents the user from leaving through the exit 3 whilst the loading flaps are open. Alternative forms of mechanical or electrical interlocks may, however, be employed to prevent ambient air in quantity from entering the main portion of the body.
