Abstract

The mobile thermally insulated cabinet is suitable for holding perishable food, and which can be transported by a lorry or other non-insulated vehicle so that the contents are maintained refrigerated during transport. It is mounted on castor wheels and has a metal ray supported near the top, inside, to hold solid carbon dioxide with a lid over the top, which can be retained in place by the insulating top layer of e.g. foam material, and with a gas discharge tube to one side discharging inside the chamber. A door at the front is constructed in the manner of a refrigerator door. A thermometer may be fitted.
