Abstract

902,656. Display signs. McPHILBEN MANUFACTURING CO. Inc. Oct. 12, 1960, No. 34974/60. Class 3 (2). An edge illuminated sign comprising display panels 22, 24 subdivided by an opaque partition 26 and bolted together by bolts 28 is mounted in a housing 14 by means of the bolts 28 which engage channel members 36, 38 therein, a locking clip 40 also being provided. The housing 14 has guide slots 54, 56 to receive axles 50, 52 on one end of the cover - plate 48, the other end of the coverplate being bolted to the housing (see Fig. 3 (not shown). The above unit is mounted on a canopy secured to the ceiling or a wall (see Figs. 5, 7 and 8 not shown). The panels 22, 24 may be transparent or translucent and made of glass or acrylic plastic material.
