Abstract

901,415. Finishing fabrics. PARAMOUNT TEXTILE MACHINERY CO. Dec. 30, 1960 [Jan. 4, 1960], No. 44738/60. Class 42 (1). A support means for garments, e.g. hosiery, comprises a form 30 shaped to receive the garment and normally disposed in a substantially vertical position, a bracket 20 supporting the lower end of the form, means 42 connecting the lower end of the form to one side of the bracket for pivotal movement of the form about a horizontal axis and means, pivot pins 23, 24, supporting the other end of the bracket for pivotal movement about a vertical axis. The pivot means 42 has a reduced portion 41 which rotates in a circular opening 40 in the bracket 20 and has the former 30 secured thereto by screws 46. The bracket 20 has a ledge 26 which engages and supports the bottom edge of the form 30 when in its vertical position and the form is provided with an angular edge 36 to rest against ledge 26 when the form is in the lowered position A. If desired, a stop 60 with an angularly disposed upper edge 62 may be provided if some intermediate position B of the form is required.
