[Also in Group XX] In a xerographic printer (see Group XX), a powder image is transferred from a xerographic plate 5 to a continuous web 16 as it is brought into contact therewith on moving transfer device 20 over the face of the plate. Contact between the web and plate may be maintained by suction, and the transfer may take place under the influence of a corona discharge. During transfer, the web is fed and the powder image fixed by infra-red heater 24. Cutting and trimming devices for delivering separate sheets may replace take-up roll 27.
