Abstract
901,161. Grease guns. WANNER A.G. Oct. 16, 1958 [Nov. 8, 1957], No. 33037/58. Class 102(2). [Also in Group XXVI] A reservoir container for a grease gun comprises a container 1 having an opening 2 at one end and a spring loaded piston 4. The spring 9 acts between the end 3 of the container and a cup member 10 which normally bears against the piston. To fill the container with grease the spring is compressed by withdrawing the cup 10 by a chain 11 and the piston 4 momentary remains in its original position, grease is then forced into the container causing the piston 4 to move towards the cup 10 thus the container is filled with grease without the inclusion of air. The container is then mounted on the grease gun and chain 11 released whereby grease is forced to the grease gun in the usual manner.
