Abstract

900,503. Terminal blocks. LHUILLIER, O. G. June 29, 1960 [April 4, 1960], No. 22720/60. Class 38 (1). A connecting device for electrical conductors comprises a moulded plastic base 1 having partly embedded threaded terminals 6, separated from each other by detachable insulating-notched partitions 2, held in their correct position by unequal pins 16a, 16b fitting into like holes 13, and a cover 3 with a fixing nut 21 for screwing on to a terminal 6 and projections 19a, 19b on its lower surface which fit into the notches in and position the cover correctly on the partitions so that the number boards 12, 17 are in correct alignment. Slots 8, 8a in the base between terminals facilitate the cutting of the bar to the required length. The partitions may be formed with a lower notch 28 in order that adjacent terminals may be connected by straps 27 whilst the bottom of the base may be formed with two webs 9 for sliding insertion in channel member 4, having a plurality of holes 26 for fixing to a support. The base may be directly connected to a support by a series of straps, Figs. 5, 6 (not shown), with fixing terminals 6 passing therethrough.
