859,634. Terminal boards. VICKERS AIRCRAFT HOLDINGS Ltd., [formerly VICKERSARMSTRONGS (AIRCRAFT) Ltd.]. Jan. 1, 1959 [March 20. 1958], No. 8982/58. Class 38(1) A terminal block comprises an injection moulding of insulating material, such as nylon, having a base portion 10 with a series of integral, transverse, upstanding projections 11 forming between them cells 12 in which are located binding-posts 13 having lead portions embedded in the base, the ends of projections 11 being beaded at 111 to restrict the angle through which a terminal tag may be swung on a binding- post. Such beadings may carry identification numerals. Apertured lugs 17 are formed at the ends of the base to receive fixing screws 18 which may incorporate pillars 19 serving to support a cover plate 20. The block may be made in different colours to distinguish circuits or different parts of the same block may be differently coloured. Fig. 6 shows another construction wherein the base carries a double row of binding posts 13, the rows being separated by a longitudinal web 22 formed integral with the projections 11. The fixing lugs 17 at opposite ends of the block are staggered so that a number of blocks assembled end to end may be nested one against the other.
