Abstract
A die is made by hot-pressing a prepared aluminium nitride which has been pulverised and re-heated at a temperature above 1600 DEG C. in a nitrogen atmosphere at a pressure below atmospheric. The die may be enclosed in a graphite sleeve. Specification 899,398 is referred to.ALSO:A pressing die is made of aluminium nitride and is closely enclosed in a graphite sleeve which is electrically heated. Specification 899,398 is referred to.
