899,480. Hydro-pneumatic shock-absorbers. USTAV PRO VYZKUM MOTOROVYCH VOZIDEL PRAHA. Oct. 4, 1960 [Oct. 8, 1959], No. 33979/60. Class 108(3). In a hydro-pneumatic shock-absorber in which a hollow piston rod 2 contains an auxiliary free piston 7 separating the liquid from the suspension gas in the piston rod, a container 8 providing an increased volume for the gas is attached to the piston rod 2 and has an internal cross-sectional area greater than that of the piston rod. Hydraulic damping is provided by restriction orifices 4 and a plate valve 5 on the piston 3.
