Abstract

L-Isoleucine is prepared by fermenting a microorganism of the genus Pseudomonas in a nutrient medium containing a -aminobutyric acid at a temperature within the range from 27 DEG C. to 40 DEG C. Preferred species of microorganism are P. aeruginosa, P. fluorescens, P. miyamizu and P. glidicola.
