897,338. Endless conveyers. SACHSENRING AUTOMOBILWERKE ZWICKAU VEB. Sept. 7, 1960, No. 30903/60. Class 78 (1). Apparatus for sprinkling a synthetic resin material uniformly comprises a container 1 for the material which has become agglomer ated into lumps due to sintering, a crumbling device comprising a rotating shaft 24 carrying hooks 25 intermeshing with teeth of a rake 23 carried by a plate 5 which is vertically adjustable in a side of the container, a first endless conveyer belt 3 which delivers the material from the container via the crumbling device in a layer of depth determined by the height of plate 5, a second conveyer belt 8 which receives the material from the belt 3 via a skimming roller 7, and a skimming plate 14 which is moved to and fro transversely of the belt 8 to level the material on the latter prior to being sprinkled off by a skimming roller 22. The plate 14 is pivoted at 13 to a slide 12 which is mounted for vertical adjustment on a carriage 11, the latter being provided with rollers 11a running on a rail 10, and being caused to reciprocate along the rail 10 by an endlessdriven chain 16 carrying a bolt 19 engaging a vertical slot in an arm 11b provided on the carriage. A hooked member 21 depending from the bolt is engageable with the plate 14 such that in one direction of movement of the carriage the plate 14 is lowered against a stop on the slide 12 to skim off surplus material into a shoot 20 for recirculation, while in the other direction of movement of the carriage the plate 14 is raised to an inoperative position. The vertical adjustment of plate 5 which adjusts the height of material on belt 3 is effected by rotation of a bolt 27 carried in a bracket 28 secured to the container wall 29. The rake 23 is also vertically adjustable on the plate 5, being locked in position by a nut 26 engaging a threaded stud 4 which is secured to the rake and passes through a slot in the plate 5.
