897,306. Moving signs. ENGLISH ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. Nov. 26, 1958, No. 38128/58. Class 3(1). A moving sign comprises a casing 11 having a translucent panel 12 of ground glass; an indiciabearing label 14 and means such as a solenoid 16, 17, 18, 19 for moving the label into its display position adjacent the panel 12 in opposition to a spring (not shown). The label may be transparent or translucent in which case it is illuminated by a light disposed behind it rather than by a light arranged in front of the panel 12. The label may be mounted on a drum rotated step by step and moved towards and away from the panel.
