[Also in Groups XIII, XVIII and XXXV] In a magnetic coupling for operating a changeover switch 14, in which a driving magnet 7 mounted to reciprocate on one side of a non- magnetic wall carries a driving pole past a like pole of a driven magnet 11 pivoted on the other side of the wall to rock by magnetic repulsion and with a snap-action through an arc limited by stops, the driven magnet forms part of an assembly 10 which is adjustable as a whole towards and away from the driven magnet movement path in order to vary the positions of the driving magnet at which the driven magnet snap-actions occur. The adjustment is effected by moving one or more packing rings 17 from the position shown to that between a step 16 of a shell 15 containing the assembly and a step in a housing 9. In the Provisional Specification a continuous adjustment by a screw device may be substituted.
