Class 75(2) A lighting fixture for tubular lamps comprises a shallow box-shaped housing 1 for the lamps 4 open at the bottom and having inwardly directed flanges 3 on the long sides and a shallow trough shaped cover 6 of light diffusing material of sufficient length to pass over the ends of the lamps, the cover being inserted above one of the flanges 3 sufficiently for the opposite edge to be moved past the other flange so that longitudinally extending flanges 7 on the cover can rest on the flanges of the housing. The bottom of the cover can be ribbed or corrugated.
