895,528. Toothed gearing. HANSELLAWERKE A. HENKEL A.G. Nov. 24, 1959 [Oct. 12, 1959], No. 39817/59. Class 80 (1). In a drive of cyclically varying ratio between a gear 4 fixed on a driving-shaft 2 and a coaxial gear 5 loose thereon, the gears 4, 5 are interconnected by a gear pair 71-72 mounted on a shaft 6 carried by webs 8 pivoted on the shaft 2, the shaft 6 being oscillated about the shaft 2 by a fork 9 on a crank 11 driven by a gear 3 on the shaft 2. The gear 5 drives the heated roller for welding plastic tubes or strips in a wrapping- machine, the varying drive serving to impart periodic retardations during welding. The transmission ratio and the oscillating movement may be varied by adjusting the distance between shafts 2 and 12 and/or by using forks, webs and gear-wheels of different sizes.
