895,360. Sewing-machines. SINGER MANUFACTURING CO. Feb. 22, 1961 [Feb. 24, 1960], No. 6536/61. Class 112. In a needle thread take-up mechanism in which a take-up lever 34 is pivotally connected to an actuating crank 29 disposed on a shaft 23 to one side of the bearing 24 and an anchor link 38 is pivoted both to the sewing-machine at 39 and to the lever at 37, means are provided to drivingly connect the anchor link 38 with a part of the shaft on the other side of the bearing 24. The anchor link is fixed to the fulcrum pin 39 journalled in the sewing-machine parallel to the shaft 23. The pin 39 has a rock arm 53 connected by a link 51 to a crank 50 formed on the shaft 23. The throws of the cranks 29 and 50 are equal. Other drive means such as a cam means may be used between the shaft 23 and the fulcrum pin 39 to impart motion to the latter.
