Abstract

894,877. Land mines. SOC. VALMARA S.r.L. Jan. 13, 1961 [April 23, 1960], No. 1477/61. Addition to 857,519. Class 9(2). The mine described in the parent Specification is provided with means causing the mine to explode below ground should its ejection be prevented, e.g. by the weight of a vehicle above it. A time fuze 3 leads from the ejection charge 2 to a charge 4 placed near or surrounding the detonator 5. Thus should the mine remain in the ground after ignition of the propellant 2 by the cap 1, the fuze 3 is ignited and after a time ignites the charge 4 which sets off the detonator 5 and a secondary charge 6 to initiate the main explosive charge 7.
