894,674. Building sub - aqueous walls. STAAT DER NEDERLANDEN. Aug. 25, 1958 [Aug. 24, 1957], No. 27222/58. Class 68(2). A device for use in constructing a dyke comprises two tubular parts 4 connected by a web 5. The device is formed from an extremely finely woven fabric of artificial threads e.g. nylon. The tubes are filled with loose material such as sand which is also packed into the space 2 under the web, through a filling pipe 6. A plurality of the devices is used to construct an embankment as shown in Fig. 2, the whole construction is covered by a protective outer layer 3. Specification 894,675 is referred to.
