893,843. Selective electrostatic printing. B UR ROUGHS CORPORATION. Feb. 25, 1959 [May 9, 1958], No. 6572/59. Classes 100(2) and 100(4) [Also in Group XL(a)] An electrographic recording head has one or more print electrodes 16 terminating substantially flush with the print face 12 of the head, and one or more initiating electrodes 14 also terminating flush with the print face 12 in closely spaced relation to the electrodes 16, between the electrodes 14, 16 there are two thin layers of insulating material, the one 32 adjacent the electrodes 14 being of material, e.g. polyethylene terephthalate which is erodable by electrical arcs and the other 30 of material, e.g. glass or mica which is not eroded by the arcs. Specifications 893,844 and 893,845 are referred to.
