893,801. Pipe cleaning. GENERAL DESCALING CO. Ltd. July 8, 1960 [July 20, 1959], No. 24906/59. Class 99(2). [Also in Group XL(b)] A pipe (e.g. for water) scraper has a body 1 to which two or more sets of radially spaced spring leaf scraper blades 3, 4 are attached, the sets being axially spaced from each other, an annular disc 5 being provided, of smaller diameter than the pipe, against which flow in the pipe exerts pressure driving the scraper through the pipe, the blades 3 of the leading set being provided in pairs superimposed upon each other. Two such scrapers, the leading one with serated edges 9 and the following with radiused edges 4, may be flexibly coupled by members 12 and 13 and spring 14. Couplings 21 and 22 are for a rope or cable drive. A container 19 may carry radio-active material for locating purposes.
