893,419. Seat adjustments. YOUNG SPRING & WIRE CORPORATION. June 20, 1960 [Aug. 24, 1959], No. 21514/60. Addition to 831,110. Class 52(2) In an improvement in or modification of the adjustable seat of the parent Specification the seat back 24 can also pivot to a forward position to permit passengers of a two-door vehicle to enter and leave the rear seats, guide members 75, 76 being provided in casing 31. As the seat back is moved forwardly to fold it surface 76a of member 75 engages tooth 53 on pawl 49 to urge the pawl out of engagement with teeth 47. As the seat back is elevated teeth 53 engage one of ramp surfaces 80 and teeth 53 at the other end of the pawl ride along surfaces 77, 79, a cam surface 78 moving pawl 49 upwardly and causing spring 70 to move over centre so that pawl 49 engages the first tooth 47.
