Abstract

892,152. Coupling bobbins to spindles. ETABLISSEMENTS PAIN-BOURGEAS. Oct. 17, 1960 [Oct. 16, 1959], No. 35527/60. Class 120(2) For coupling a bobbin to a spindle, male and female members are provided such that relative movement between them produces a progressively increasing thrust to centre the bobbin or hold it in centred position. As shown, the female member is a bushing 7 extending from a flange 8 of the bobbin, bored to correspond with a male member 2 in the form of a prism force-fitted on the spindle 4. The engaging faces of the two parts are concave and convex, and a flange 9 to support the bobbin may be provided on the spindle or, as shown, on the member 2. At the upper end of the bobbin a bushing 15 fits over a bush 16 forcefitted on the spindle, the diameter of the bush being such as to allow the bushing 7 to pass when the bobbin is doffed.
