A safe wall comprises an outer steel plate I and at least one layer of reinforced concrete adjacent thereto, the reinforcement comprising a latticework of members 7, 8, parallel to and spaced from the plate 1, the said reinforcement being anchored in place by means of cramp members 9 looped over members of the latticework and anchored at both ends to the plate 1. The layer of reinforced concrete may further contain random pieces of hardened steel. The wall may also comprise an inner layer 4 of reinforced insulation material, spaced from the concrete by a metal plate 3, and lined by metal plates 5, 6.
