891,492. Sack stitching. BIBBY & SONS Ltd., J. Oct. 21, 1959 [Oct. 21, 1958], No. 33576/58. Class 112 [Also in Group XVII] A sack 10 is closed after filling by one or more rows of locking stitches provided by a thread 12 in association with a rip-cord 13, the ratio of breaking strength between cord and thread being not less than 1À25:1. The thread is of cotton or rayon 12<SP>5</SP>/3 having a breaking strength of about 8 lbs. and the rip-cord may be jute or hessian having a breaking strength of about 40 1bs. or may be made of folded and twisted paper having a breaking strength of about 10-12 1bs. The sack is opened by pulling the rip-cord.
