[Also in Group XVII] A crank-case breather cap 3, filled with filtering material 8, carries a spring member 10 which is pressed back by the outside of the filler tube into a. recess 9 in the inner wall 4 of the cap. The end of the filler tube engages a sealing ring 16. The lower end of spring 10 passes through a slot in the perforated lower wall 5 of the cap and is clamped at the flange 7 and secured against movement by a projection 15.
