Abstract
891,126. Feeding conveyers. BINNENSTEIN, H. March 3, 1958 [March 1, 1957], No. 6819/58. Class 78 (1). Material is fed on to an endless belt conveyer 1 by a rotary disc 2 and blades 6 pivotally mounted on a rotary disc 5 which is disposed at a distance above the disc 2. The blades are swung as the disc 5 rotates into the positions shown in Fig. 1. Each blade 6 is mounted on the disc by means of a linkage consisting of rods 12, 121, Fig. 3, and a bell-crank lever 13. The lever 13 is pivoted to the disc at 14 and carries a roller 15 at one end which engages in a cam groove 16 formed on the underside of an extension of the bracket 8, Fig. 2 (not shown). The other end of the lever is pivoted to the rod 121 and the rod 12 is connected to the pivot 14. A cam groove 18, which is formed in the underside of a stationary member, receives a roller 20 mounted on a lever 21. One end of this lever is pivoted at 22 to the disc 5 and the other end is connected by a rod 23 to the blade. In the construction shown in Fig. 5, the blades 6 are mounted on an endless chain 25 and are swung as the roller 28 passes over certain parts of an endless track 30.
