891,121. Floating storage containers.- DRACONE DEVELOPMENTS Ltd. May 6, 1958 [May 7, 1957], No. 14509/57. Class 113, [Also in Group VIII] A .barge or storage vessel is formed with unsupported walls of natural or synthetic fibres or wire, woven or oriented and bonded together with a plastic material or natural or synthetic rubber, the walls having internal and external protective skins. Fig. 2 shows one of the joints described in an example of multilayer fabric construction of a barge comprising layers 1 6 of nylon cloth, external fabric 7 of neoprene and nylon, and an internal sealing fabric 8 of butadiene based artificial rubber and nylon. The lap joint of the material is spliced at 9, sewn at 10, and sealed with plastic or rubber 11, 12. Where the layers are not bonded .together throughout they may be lubricated by water, graphite, carbon or other lubricant to protect the yarns and remove heat generated during flexing.
