Abstract
The invention comprises compounds of the formula <FORM:0890471/IV (b)/1> (wherein n is an integer and X is an anion bearing the charge p). They may be prepared by reacting chloramine or hydroxylamine-O-sulphonic acid acid with the appropriate dimorpholinoalkane of the formula <FORM:0890471/IV (b)/2> which, in turn, may be prepared by the reaction of morpholine with the appropriate alkylene dihalide and subsequent liberation of the free base from the hydrogen halide acid-addition salt first formed. Anions may be exchanged by meta thesis. Examples are given and an extensive list of anions X is provided. A by-product of one example is 4-amino-4-[(4-morpholino)ethyl]-morpholinium chloride. Specification 858,488 and U.S.A. Specifications 2,678,258 and 2,710,248 are referred to.ALSO:Pharmaceutical compositions comprise a bishydrazinium salt of the formula <FORM:0890471/VI/1> (wherein n is an integer and X is an anion bearing the charge p) in admixture with a solid or liquid pharmaceutical carrier. Specific examples of X are those listed in Specification 880,974. Specification 858,488 and U.S.A. Specifications 2,678,258 and 2,710,248 also are referred to.
