Abstract

The invention comprises compounds of the general formula <FORM:0839505/IV (b)/1> and <FORM:0839505/IV (b)/2> wherein m is an integer from 21-40 inclusive and X is an anion and the preparation thereof by reacting a polymethylene dihalide containing from 21-40 inclusive carbon atoms in the molecule with quinoline or isoquinoline in an organic solvent and, if desired, converting the halide so obtained into another salt by double decomposition.
