890,018. Valves. SHRUBSALL, G. W. G. April 7, 1960 [April 8, 1959], No. 11920/59. Class 135. A device for conducting and controlling the flow of a fluid, comprises a tube 1 made of a resiliently flexible material such as rubber and a pair of members 2, 7 which are fitted to the tube at spaced positions along it such that when the tube is bent between the two members to bring one member into contact with the other a kink 9 is formed in the tube between the members which prevents the flow of fluid through the tube, these members including means such as a hook 6 on one member insertable in a hole 8 in the other for releasably holding them together to maintain the kink in the tube. One of the members 2, preferably constitutes a discharge nozzle on the end of the tube, the other member 7 being a sleeve having a tight frictional fit on the tube.
