888,220. Dispensing liquids or semi-liquids under gaseous pressure. HUNT, H. L. Feb. 12, 1960. [April 2, 1959], No. 11232/59. Class 102(2). Apparatus for dispensing liquids or semiliquids under gaseous pressure, comprises an outer casing 1, Fig. 1, closed by a lid 5 fitted with an outlet nozzle 16 and formed with screwthreads for attachment to an adapter member 4 to secure a container 8 open at both ends; within the casing. The container 8 which sealingly abuts the lid 5 houses a follow-up piston 11 subjected on its face remote from the lid by air pressure derived from a pump 13 to eject liquid or semi-liquid from the nozzle. In another embodiment, the container 8 is replaced by a can 28 closed at its bottom end and the follow-up piston 11 by a tube 30 secured to the nozzle and dipping into the can. Air under pressure supplied to the outer casing passes through a hole or holes 31 in the can to act on the surface of the liquid or semi-liquid in the can and so eject it through the nozzle
