Class 52(5) [Also in Groups XXIII and XXV] A device for holding a clothes line to a prop comprises a rod 1 secured at one end of the prop and bent spirally at the other end to form two bights A, B the line being engaged in the bight A and the prop raised and turned to engage the rope in the bight B also. The bight B is preferably at right angles to the bight A and the lower end of the rod is pointed and offset at 1a, enabling the point to be driven into the prop, or is formed as a screw.
