Abstract
887,230. Microscope condensers. BARABAS, J., ZSELYONKA, L., KISS, F., and LIBIK, A May 1, 1958 [Dec. 13, 1957], No. 13972/58. Class 97(1). A microscope condenser is arranged to provide dark ground illumination simultaneously with bright ground illumination. As shown in Fig. 1, a front lens 10 of the microscope condenser has a spherical refracting zone 16 adjoining its exit face 15, this zone being widened at areas 17, Fig. 3, whereby light rays passing through the areas 17 provide for bright ground illumination, whereas light rays passing through the remaining parts of the spherical zone 16 provide for dark ground illumination. The areas 17 may be diametrically opposite each other, and may be disposed in pairs of the same or different widths or lengths.
