Abstract
887,084. Strap fastenings. ANAV, L. Aug. 6, 1959 [Sept. 11, 1958; Oct. 20, 1958], No. 26857/59. Class 44. A strap fastener comprises coacting members which are transversely slotted in opposite directions to permit their assembly together with a half lap and joint and are adapted to be in close side by side relation when tension is subsequently applied to such members. The members consist of plates 3 (Fig. 1) having slots 5, each plate tapering both along its length and across its breadth such that when the two plates are engaged by means of the slots, the overall thickness of the fastening means is substantially constant throughout. A second embodiment (Fig. 5). also includes studs 13 situated in dished portions 12, these studs engaging with ports 10 when the plates are superposed.
