Abstract

886,909. Adjusting wheelbases. TATRA, NARODNI PODNIK. Jan. 1, 1959, No. 109/59. Class 108(2). [Also in Group XXV] A radius rod 1 is adjustably anchored to a vehicle body (not shown) by a joint comprising an eccentric spherical bush 7 mounted on a sleeve 6 fixed on a bolt 11 and surrounded by segmental spherical shells 8 urged against the bush by a resilient split bush 9. The bush 7 is preferably made of plastic material cast on a steel sleeve 6 and the shells 8 are also of steel; the bush 9 is fluidtightly inserted in two housing half-shells 10 fixed to the radius rod and forms a dust cover and lubricant seal. By rotating the bolt 11 in brackets 14 fixed to the vehicle body the rod 1 is shifted axially.
