Abstract

886,285. Brushes. RUXTON, A. L. May 21, 1958 [April 11, 1957], No. 11926/57. Class 19. Bristles 2 are incorporated at one end of or formed integrally with a moulded plastics sheet or strip 1 which is folded or rolled upon itself before being positioned between two portions of a stock, the portions being subsequently urged together to clamp the brush strip in the stock. The stock consists of two mirror portions that are either completely separate or are resiliently joined along one edge only. These portions are clamped together when a separate handle is screwed on to two upstanding lugs which when abutting form an externally threaded boss. Alternatively, a clamping collar is slid down over the portions which in this construction may be integral with the handle.
